Electrical Engineer
Responsible for electrical engineering analysis, calculation, design/documentation and production unit support as required on assigned projects. Through application of engineering standards and the process of continuous improvement, the incumbent will provide reliable, high quality, cost effective, and safe controls for stamping presses and auxiliary equipment. The incumbent will develop, change and maintain accurate drawings and bills of materials of parts and assemblies, as well as develop and maintain company-engineering standards. The incumbent will maintain close relationships with the production unit to promote effective communication and ensure designs meet specifications.
EDUCATION
The incumbent will have a BSEE degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Three to five years of experience in engineering design of analog and digital electrical controls, preferably capital equipment, machine tool, automation, or stamping press design.
Proficient with CAD software for preparation of electrical drawings, (preferably AutoCAD electrical).
Working knowledge of PLC's, such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
Working knowledge of AC and DC motion controls.
Servo motor experience preferred.
Working knowledge of components used in the machine tool industry.
Proficient working within electrical standards including, but not limited to, NFPA79, NEC, and UL codes.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
